SALFIT (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian man and his son were injured Saturday evening after their truck collided with an Israeli military jeep near the village of Qarawat Bani Hassan west of Salfit in the northern West Bank.

Palestinian security sources told Ma'an that 55-year-old Wajih Hamid Amer from the Salfit-area village of Masha and his son Huthayfa, 12, sustained minor to moderate wounds as a result of the crash.

They were evacuated to al-Arabi hospital in Nablus.

Israeli military vehicles use Palestinian civilian roads throughout the West Bank and are not generally subject to traffic regulations.
