TUBAS (Ma'an) -- Unidentified men on Tuesday briefly kidnapped a 10-year-old Palestinian boy in the Tubas district in the northern West Bank over an alleged financial dispute with the boy's father, Palestinian police said.
Police spokesman Luay Irzeiqat said that police in Tubas were alerted to the kidnapping of the boy while he was on his way to school in the village of Aqaba in northwestern Tubas.
Irzeiqat said that the unidentified men stopped their a car and pulled the boy in before speeding away.
Police immediately opened an investigation leading to the boy's discovery.
Initial reports suggested that the motive behind the kidnapping was a financial dispute between the boy’s father and the kidnappers.
The kidnappers have been arrested, Irzeiqat said.
