TULKAREM (Ma'an) -- Palestinian police on Monday came across a 19-seat school bus carrying 43 kindergarten children in Tulkarem in the northern West Bank.

Police said in a statement that a police patrol was conducting regular winter safety checks in the area when officers discovered the minibus carrying more than two children for every available seat.

The children were moved to other buses and legal procedures have been started against the driver, the statement said.
