Woman killed by unidentified gunmen near Jenin

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Gunmen shot and killed a Palestinian woman in the northern occupied West Bank on Friday night, locals and medical sources told official Palestinian Authority news agency Wafa.

The woman was shot dead after unidentified gunmen fired at her house in the town of al-Yamoun west of Jenin.

Medical sources at the Khalil Suleiman public hospital in Jenin identified the victim as Nidaa Tayseer Abu al-Hayja.

Jenin deputy governor Kamal Abu al-Rub said Palestinian security officers rushed to al-Yamoun and arrested a number of suspects.
