QALQILIYA (Ma'an ) -- Clashes erupted in the village of Kafr Qaddum near Qalqiliya in the occupied West Bank, when Israeli forces dispersed weekly protests on Friday.

Spokesperson for popular resistance in Kafr Qaddum, Murad Shtewei, said clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces who fired live and rubber-coated steel bullets, and stun grenades, in addition to deploying snipers in the area. No injuries were reported.

Today's protest marked the latest in the five year weekly protests of Kafr Qaddum that started in July 2011 in protest of Israel’s continuing closures of the village's main road since 2003.
