JENIN (Ma'an) --Three Palestinians were killed and 14 were injured in a violent family dispute late Wednesday in the village of Yaabad in the northern occupied West Bank district of Jenin, medical and security sources said.
Dozens of security forces vehicles and hundreds of security members rushed to the area as unidentified assailants set fire to houses and a wedding hall which had been built recently.
Two of the slain family members were identified as Muhannad Hamzeh Rashid Qabha, 32, and Mahmoud Ahmad Rihan Qabha, 47, while the third has yet to be identified.
Palestinian police spokesman Luay Irzeiqat told Ma’an that seven of the 14 injured were in critical condition.
The injured were taken to hospitals in the city of Jenin.
Irzeiqat added that the police arrested seven people who were involved in the fight, and seized unspecified weapons used during the violent outbreak.
The reasons behind the deadly dispute remained unknown as of Thursday morning.
