TULKAREM (Ma’an) -- The student union at Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie on Sunday suspended classes until further notice in protest against the school administration’s “ignorance to the students’ demands.”
The union said in a statement that all campus gates would be shut down and students would refuse to sit for exams. The statement urged all students to avoid going to campus.
The administration, the statement added, has been making promises, but continued to “ignore” the students’ demands to “provide an appropriate educational environment.”
The university administration did provide comment on the matter.
The university’s student union has previously
suspended classes without consulting the administration, and the union was temporarily disbanded as a result.
