Unknown assailants throw Molotov cocktails at Palestinian journalist's vehicle

JENIN (Ma'an) -- Unknown assailants reportedly threw Molotov cocktails at a Palestinian journalist's vehicle in the northern occupied West Bank district of Jenin.

Ali al-Samoudi, a reporter for the al-Quds Newspaper and a photographer for Reuters, told Ma’an that on his way back from the Palestinian International Festival for Culture and Arts, unknown assailants threw Molotov cocktails at his car parked in from of his house in the center of the city of Jenin in the early morning hours, causing the front part of his car to be set on fire. 

Al-Samoudi called upon security officials to investigate the incident. 

Spokesperson of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) factions in Jenin, Ali Zakarneh, said the assault was a setback for Palestinian journalism.
