BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- A young Palestinian man and an Israeli woman were killed and another Palestinian was injured Sunday in a car collision near the illegal Israeli settlement of Shave Shomeron in the northern occupied West Bank district of Nablus.

The deceased Palestinian man was identified as Amin Muhammad al-Qaisi, 24.

The deceased Israeli woman’s body was taken away from the site in an Israeli ambulance. Her identity remained unknown.

Israeli police spokeswoman Luba al-Samri said in a statement that the car accident happened on Route 557 near Shave Shomeron, causing the death of a Palestinian man and Israeli woman who were driving when they accidentally rammed into each other.

She added that two others suffered from moderate injuries due to the accident.
