Jan. 14, 2017 10:06 P.M. (Updated: Jan. 14, 2017 10:06 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Palestinian police detectives in the southern occupied West Bank district of Bethlehem said they were investigating the death of a young man as a suspected drug overdose, after the man was found dead Saturday evening in his house in the town of al-Khader south of Bethlehem city.

Palestinian police spokesperson Luay Irzeiqat said in a statement that after Bethlehem police were alerted to the case, officers arrived and found the dead body with "about five grams of drugs" next to it that police said they believed to be heroin, and other "drug-taking paraphernalia."

The body was sent to the institute for forensic medicine to undergo an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
