2 Palestinians injured as pipe bomb explodes in Nur Shams

TULKAREM (Ma’an) -- A Palestinian boy and child Friday were injured after a homemade pipe bomb exploded in the center of Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem city in the northern occupied West Bank. 

Palestinian security sources told Ma’an that the boy and child were taken to Dr Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarem.

Medical sources told Ma’an that the boy suffered from moderate burns on his face and right shoulder and was transferred to an operation room, while the child suffered from minor injuries and received proper medical care.

Palestinian authorities in Tulkarem have opened an investigation on the incident.
