JENIN (Ma’an) -- Israeli planes reportedly dispersed toxic products on lands in the northern occupied West Bank district of Jenin, locals told Ma’an.
Residents of the Palestinian villages of Fandaqumiya, Ajja, Zababida, Raba, and Jabaa said that products resembling candy had been dispersed in the area.
Palestinian medical sources who tested the products said that the materials were poisonous and had negatively affected wild animals and livestock in the area.
They warned locals, especially children, against touching them.
Spokespersons for Israel’s Nature and Parks Authority and Land Authority were not immediately available for comment on Monday.Pictures of the pellet-like products seemed to resemble rabies vaccine bait for wild animals, which the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority has reportedly dispersed aerially in the past.
