Unknown assailants break into Hebron Women's Charitable Society

HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Unknown assailants broke into the headquarters of a local charity in the Bir al-Mahjar area of the southern occupied West Bank city of Hebron overnight Monday and stole cash, checks, recording devices, surveillance cameras, and other possessions.

Head of the Hebron Women's Charitable Society Asmaa Dufash told Ma'an that an employee who came to open the offices Tuesday morning was shocked to see that the center had been burgled and immediately called the police.

The police arrived to the scene and opened an investigation to identify the culprits.

Dufash condemned the assault, saying that the charitable institution provides services to many underprivileged families across the Hebron district.
