Palestinian found dead hanging from a tree in Salfit-area village

SALFIT (Ma’an) -- A Palestinian man was found dead hanging from a tree in the village of Deir Istiya in the central occupied West Bank district of Salfit on Thursday.

Palestinian police spokesman Luay Irzeiqat said that Muhammad Mahmoud Abu Talha, 33, was found hanging from an olive tree around noon.

Irzeiqat added that police rushed to the scene escorted by investigators and public prosecutor, and that an investigation had been opened to uncover the cause of death.
