False rocket alert sounds in southern Israel near Gaza border

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Israeli army said Tuesday evening that rocket alarm sirens were sounded in Israeli communities near the border with the besieged Gaza Strip, which was later revealed to be a false alarm, according to Israeli media.

A day prior, the Israeli army bombarded the small Palestinian territory with multiple airstrikes, resulting in the injury of at least four Palestinians, which the army said was in response to a rocket fired from Gaza that landed in an open area in southern Israel that caused no injuries or damages.
