BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Two Palestinians were killed and three others were injured in a car accident in the Romanian capital of Bucharest overnight Monday. All of the deceased and injured were medical students at the Constanta Medical University.

The Palestinian ambassador to Bucharest Fouad Kokaly told Ma’an that Muhammad Jibril, from the Israeli city of al-Ludd (Lod) was dead by the time he arrived to the hospital, while Ahmad Dahamsheh, from the Galilee-area town of Kafr Kanna, was pronounced dead in the hospital after succumbing to his wounds.

Brothers Suleiman and Nabil al-Turi, also from al-Ludd, were critically injured, while the driver, whose identity remained unknown, was reported to be in moderate condition.

The ambassador added that after the “terrible” collision, the vehicle transporting the five Palestinian medical students fell into a river.
