GAZA (Ma’an) -- A Qatari medical delegation arrived in the besieged Gaza Strip on Wednesday morning to perform a number of cochlear hearing implant surgeries for 22 Palestinian children in collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Health and the Palestinian Red Crescent office in Gaza.

The delegation was escorted by the Deputy Head of the reconstruction commitee in Gaza Khalid al-Hardan.

The medical delegation included Khalid Abd al-Hadi, head of the Audiology and Balance Unit in Hamad Medical Corporation, and Abd al-Salam al-Qahtani, head of ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) department and the cochlear implant department in the same corporation.

The surgeries will be done at Al-Quds hospital, which is managed by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Gaza.

The delegation will also check up on children who had undergone the surgery in February.
