Israeli authorities detain Palestinian after allegedly finding gun in his vehicle

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli border police detained a Palestinian youth from the village of Sur Bahir in southeastern Jerusalem on Tuesday after allegedly finding a weapon in his vehicle. 

Israeli media reported that a gun was found in the 20-year-old Palestinian’s vehicle. The gun was reportedly wrapped in a blanket. 

The detainee was transferred to Israeli intelligence to undergo interrogation. 

An Israeli border police officer was not immediately available for comment.
