BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces conducted a series of raids Thursday evening in and around the town of Tuqu, southeast of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, after an Israeli settler was allegedly injured after a rocks were thrown at his vehicle.

Hebrew media reported that the settler sustained a light injury while driving on a main settler bypass road near Tuqu, located adjacent to the Israeli settlement of Tekoa, which was built on Tuqu’s lands.

According to Hebrew media, the settler was treated on the scene as Israeli forces launched a search in the area.

Locals told Ma’an that Israeli forces raided the Khirbet al-Deir area of Tuqu and stormed several houses located on the main street.

An Israeli army spokesperson said they were looking into reports.
