Palestinian president arrives in Turkey for 3-day visit

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Sunday for a three-day state visit.

Palestinian Authority-owned Wafa news agency reported that Abbas and his delegation were scheduled to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other high-ranking Turkish officials on Tuesday.

Both sides are expected to discuss "ways to strengthen bilateral relations and coordination on issues of common interest," Wafa said.
