BETHLEHEM (Ma'an ) -- Unidentified Palestinian gunmen reportedly opened fire at an Israeli vehicle near the village of Shuqba west of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank on Saturday evening, causing no injuries or damages to the vehicle, according to local sources.

According to the sources, the gunmen were targeting a vehicle belonging to Israeli settlers. The incident occurred near the illegal Israeli settlement of Nili.

Israeli forces later arrived to the scene to launch a search operation for the assailants, the sources said.

However, an Israeli army spokesperson who said she was aware of reports about the incident said that "as of now, there is no evidence of a shooting."
