BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces reportedly detained two Palestinian youths near the Gush Etzion junction south of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank on Friday, according to local sources.

Ynet news reported that Israeli forces stopped a "terrorist cell" that placed an explosive device on a road near the settlement of Migdal Oz in Gush Etzion.

Israeli army forces reportedly transferred the two Palestinians to Israeli intelligence for questioning.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an they were looking into reports.
