Palestinians reportedly open fire on Beit El settlement

Sept. 29, 2017 5:26 P.M. (Updated: Sept. 30, 2017 3:34 P.M.)
RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Armed Palestinians reportedly opened live fire at Israeli settler houses in the illegal Beit El settlement, next to Ramallah city in the central occupied West Bank on Thursday evening.

Locals told Ma’an that the shooting continued for several minutes, with no response from the Israeli army.

Shortly after the shooting, Israeli forces fired flares and searched the area for the source of fire.

Israeli forces then deployed across the settlement as Israeli ambulances and police arrived to the area. Israeli army vehicles also deployed on the main road connecting Ramallah with the northern West bank city of Nablus.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an they were looking into reports.
