Israeli forces detain 13-year-old Palestinian from occupied East Jerusalem

JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Friday detained a Palestinian teenager from occupied East Jerusalem during predawn raids in the area.

Locals told Ma’an that Israeli forces raided the Silwan neighborhood and detained 13-year-old Hussan Zaytoun.

Prisoners rights group Addameer recorded that 6,198 Palestinians were detained by Israel as of October, 280 of whom were children.

The group has estimated that some 40 percent of Palestinian men will be detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
