Palestinian detained near Hebron-area settlement

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Wednesday reportedly detained a Palestinian who was allegedly planning to carry out a stabbing attack in an illegal Israeli settlement.

Israeli news website Ynet reported that Israeli army forces detained a Palestinian from the south Hebron HIlls in the southern occupied West Bank near the Negohot settlement.

The detainee was reportedly wearing a military coat and “was found to be carrying a knife and a map of the settlement on his person,” Ynet said.

The Palestinian was taken in for questioning.

Hundreds of Palestinians have been arrested, injured, or killed by Israeli fores for allegedly planning to carry out tabbing attacks against Israelis.
