BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- A Palestinian youth was injured on Friday during clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces in the al-Mazraa al-Gharbiyeh village northwest of Ramallah.

Palestinians in the village had gathered on lands in the area confiscated by Israel to perform Friday prayers as a sign of protest against Israeli confiscation of Palestinian land.

Israeli forces suppressed the protesters, firing rubber-coated steel bullets, tear-gas canisters and stun grenades, while Palestinian youth threw rocks at soldiers,

The identity of the injured youth and the nature of his injury remained unknown.
