3 Palestinians arrested after crossing Gaza border into Israel

March 27, 2018 7:19 P.M. (Updated: March 30, 2018 3:46 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces arrested three Palestinians, allegedly armed with weapons, on Tuesday after they crossed from the besieged Gaza Strip into Israel, according to Israeli media.

Israeli news website Ynet reported that Israeli forces conducted an “extensive search in the border fence area” around southern Gaza after finding footprints near the border.

According to Ynet, the three were arrested 20 kilometers from the border, and were reportedly armed with knives and grenades.

The three Palestinians, whose identities remained unknown, were transferred over to the Israeli police for interrogation.

Israeli forces regularly detain Palestinians attempting to cross into Israel from the besieged Gaza Strip, which has suffered under a decade-long military blockade by Israel and Egypt.
