Israeli forces detain 8 Palestinians, including minor, during predawn raids

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained eight Palestinians, including a minor, during predawn raids on Sunday across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

PPS said in a statement that Israeli forces detained 17-year-old Reda Munir Muqbel after raiding his family home in the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian from the village of Deir Abu Mashaal. Their identity remined unknown.

Israeli forces also detained six Palestinians from East Jerusalem, according to PPS.

According to UN documentation, Israeli forces carried out 176 search and arrest raids in the occupied Palestinian territory from March 13 - 26.

As of March, there were 6,050 Palestinians being held in israeli prisons, according to Palestinian prisoners rights group Addameer.
