1 Palestinian killed, 3 others injured in explosion in northern Gaza Strip

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- One Palestinian was killed and three others were injured during an “accidental explosion” in the Beit Lahiya town in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday.

Local medics told Ma’an that a Palestinian identified as Muhammad Nimr al-Maqadmeh, 55, was killed in an “accidental explosion."

Sources added that a child was among the three other injuries and was hit by a shrapnel in the head.

The child, whose remained unidentified, was admitted into the Indonesian Hospital for treatment.

While the source of the explosion remained unknown, an Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that their forces were “unaware” of the explosion.
