Palestinian teenager succumbs to wounds in Gaza, 2 others injured

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A Palestinian youth on Thursday morning succumbed to wounds he sustained last Friday in eastern Gaza City.

Ashraf al-Qidra, spokesperson for the Gaza Ministry of Health, confirmed that Anas Shawqi Abu Asser, 19, from the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood of Gaza City died from wounds to the head last Friday. Abu Asser had been in the intensive care unit since Friday.

Meanwhile, two Palestinians were injured, one of them critically, as Israeli forces opened fired at a group of youths near the al-Awda camp in eastern Gaza City on Thursday morning.

Locals told Ma'an that Israeli forces entered into the security fence at eastern Gaza, before opening fire at the youths and later detaining them.
