Israeli forces kill Palestinian allegedly attempting to cross Gaza border fence

June 4, 2018 1:14 P.M. (Updated: June 5, 2018 4:39 P.M.)
GAZA (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces killed a Palestinian on Monday, as they allegedly attempted to cross through the Israeli-imposed border fence along the eastern Gaza Strip.

Locals reported that Israeli forces opened fire on two Palestinian “youths” near the border in the southern Gaza Strip, killing one. The other reportedly managed to flee the scene.

An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed the incident to Ma’an, saying that Israeli forces prevented an “attempted infiltration by two terrorists armed with an axe” by opening fire on the Palestinians, killing one of them.

The identity of the slain Palestinian remained unknown.
