Israeli forces detain 3 Palestinians at Nablus-area checkpoint

NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least three Palestinians while at the Zaatara checkpoint in the northern occupied West Bank district of Nablus.

Local sources told Ma'an that Israeli forces detained Hakim Shahwan, Ahmad Sheikh Qassem and Muhammad Hassouna, all residents of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, as they were passing through the Zaatara checkpoint.

According to UN numbers, between April 24 and May 7th, Israeli forces conducted 127 raids in the West Bank.

Palestinian prisoners rights group Addameer reported that as of April, there were 6,036 Palestinians being held in Israeli prisons.
