BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian home in the village of Battir in the southern occupied West Bank district of Bethlehem on Tuesday.

Locals told Ma'an that Israeli forces raided the village and demolished a 120-square-meter home identifying it as belonging to resident Raed Abu Harthieh, in the al-Khimar area of the village.

Sources added that the house was demolished despite the owner having files and detailed plans in the Custodian of Absentee Property.

The official Palestinian Authority (PA)-owned Wafa news agency reported that the house was demolished under the pretext of not having the a license despite the owner having all the necessary paper and files by the Israeli government for building a house on his land.
