GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces carried out an airstrike on Thursday targeting northeastern Beit Hanoun  in the northern besieged Gaza Strip.

Locals said that Israeli drones fired a rocket at a group of Palestinians who were launching explosive balloons; the group was able to survive the airstrike.

Sources added that no injuries were reported.

On Wednesday afternoon, Israeli drones carried out an airstrike targeting a group of Palestinian incendiary kite-flyers in eastern Rafah City in the southern Gaza Strip.

Earlier this week, 33 fires had erupted in forests and agricultural areas in Israeli communities surrounding the Gaza Strip borders, by incendiary kites and balloons.
