Israeli bulldozers raze lands in besieged Gaza

July 17, 2018 11:55 A.M. (Updated: July 23, 2018 3:43 P.M.)
GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Several Israeli military vehicles entered into the town of al-Qarrara, in the southern besieged Gaza Strip district of Khan Younis, on Tuesday.

A Ma'an reporter said that four Israeli military bulldozers coming from the Kissufim Israeli military post entered tens of meters into the outskirts of al-Qartara .

As Israeli bulldozers razed and leveled the land surrounding the town, Israeli military drones were seen flying overhead.

No shootings were reported.

Israeli military incursions inside the besieged Gaza Strip and near the "buffer zone," which lies on both land and sea of Gaza, have long been a near-daily occurrence.

The practice has in effect destroyed much of the agricultural and fishing sector of the blockaded coastal enclave, which has been under an Israeli air, land, and sea blockade for 10 years.

Meanwhile, Avigdor Lieberman, the Israeli Defense Minister, threatened to retaliate with a strong force in the Gaza Strip if the Hamas movement continues, what he described as "provocative actions" and pointed out that "the ball is now in Hamas' court."
