BDS' 'Razan Najjar in our memory' slogans roam through Zurich

July 20, 2018 2:37 P.M. (Updated: July 20, 2018 3:35 P.M.)
ZURICH (Ma'an) -- The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement organized a protest in the Swiss city of Zurich on July 14th honoring Palestinian woman paramedic killed during "The Great March of Return" protests in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The protest was carried out as BDS activists rode on bicycles through the streets of Zurich carrying a photo of Najjar under a slogan reading "Razan Najjar is in our memory."

Protesters demanded that the continuous killing of Palestinian people by Israel be stopped.

Israeli forces had shot and killed 21-year-old Najjar, as she was treating injured Palestinian protesters during ongoing demonstrations along the Gaza border with Israel.

The BDS movement which works to end international support for Israel's oppression of Palestinians and pressure Israel to comply with international law, took it upon themselves to organize such a protest in honor of the unjustifiably killed paramedic.
