GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli warplanes fired a missile targeting a group of Palestinian youths east of the town of Jabaliya, in the besieged northern Gaza Strip, on Monday.

According to a spokesperson for the Israeli army, an Israeli warplane carried out an airstrike, targeting a group which identifies itself as the “incendiary kites unit.” Allegedly the unit was launching explosive balloons from Gaza towards Israeli border communities.

Meanwhile, local witnesses told Ma'an that an unarmed drone targeted a group of Palestinians, yet no injuries were reported.

Witnesses added that Israeli forces opened fire towards a resistance monitoring base, east of Maghazi refugee camp, in central Gaza. No injuries were reported either.
