Israeli forces detain 7 Palestinians in West Bank raids

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least seven Palestinians during a campaign of raids and searches across the occupied West Bank, on predawn Thursday.

According to local sources, in the southern West Bank district of Hebron, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian and was identified as Ahmad Omar Abu Hussein.

Sources said that in the Hebron district, violent clashes broke out among Israeli forces and Palestinian youths in the village of Beit Ummar. No injuries were reported.

Sources pointed out that during Hebron raids, Israeli forces found and confiscated an M16 rifle.

Sources added that Israeli settlers, under the protection of armed Israeli forces, raided the Palestinian village of Halhul, in the southern district of Hebron. As well as, the Palestinian village of Khirbet Tuqu, in the southern district of Bethlehem.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, Israeli forces detained two Palestinians. They were identified as Mutaz Azzyeh and Khader al-Masmes.

In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian and identified him as Wael Hussein.

Witnesses confirmed that Israeli forces raided the home of a Palestinian resident, Amir Dahbour, and demolished parts of an agricultural structure which he owned.

In the same district, Israeli forces raided and searched another eight Palestinian homes and confiscated a large sum of money. The exact amount remained to be unknown.

In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, three Palestinians were detained. They were identified as Muhammad Qafini, Munir Naim Adwan, and Muhammad Naim Adwan.
