Israeli forces detain 8 Palestinians in occupied West Bank

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least eight Palestinians during predawn raids on Sunday across the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), Israeli forces raided several Palestinian villages throughout the West Bank, during which they detained eight Palestinians, and confiscated motorbikes.

PPS confirmed that Israeli forces detained three Palestinians from al-Khader village, in the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem. They were identified as Muhammad Ibrahim Salah, Ahmad Muhammad Salah, and Muhammad Mamduh Salah.

In the Palestinian village of Kobar, in the central West Bank district of Ramallah, four Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces. They were identified as Yahya Mahmmud Amrieh, Qais Muhammad Abed al-Fatah al-Barghouthi, Milad al-Barghouthi, and Muhammad al-Qatawi.

In the Sinjil village, in the central West Bank district of Ramallah, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian. PPS identified him as Muhammad Towafshe.

Israeli raids into Palestinian towns and villages are near daily occurrence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,900 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
