Abu Rdeineh appointed new positions by Abbas

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Palestinian Presidential Mahmoud Abbas appointed on Thursday the spokesman of Palestinian presidency Nabil Abu Rdeineh as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information, sources told Ma'an.

Abu Rdeineh is currently the spokesperson of the Palestinian presidency and head of the Fatah movement's Media and Culture Commission.

Spokesperson of the Palestinian government Youssef al-Mahmoud said that the decision came upon consultation between President Abbas and Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah.

Abu Rdeineh will be sworn in on Thursday afternoon.
