Israeli forces open fire on agricultural land in Gaza

Aug. 3, 2018 11:10 A.M. (Updated: Aug. 3, 2018 2:33 P.M.)
GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces opened fire on Friday morning towards a Palestinian-owned agricultural land, east of the al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central besieged Gaza Strip.

A Ma'an reporter said that Israeli forces opened fire for unknown reasons; no injuries were reported.

The random shooting took place only hours before Palestinians in the Gaza Strip would begin the 19th Friday of "The Great March of Return".

The "Great March of Return" protests were launched by thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza -- which has suffered from a decade-long Israeli siege -- who took to the borders to demand their right of return as refugees to their original homelands, now in present-day Israel.
