GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Four Palestinians suffered injuries due to an Israeli warplane, carrying out an airstrike, near a resistance military post on Sunday in the northern besieged Gaza Strip.

Local witnesses told Ma'an that an Israeli warplane fired at least two missiles at a group of Palestinians near a military post belonging to the al-Mujahideen Brigades, identified as a military wing in Gaza.

Sources added that four Palestinians were injured during the Israeli airstrike. Two of the Palestinians were reported to have suffered light injuries.

The four injured Palestinians have not yet been identified.

An Israeli army spokesperson said that an Israeli warplane targeted a group of Palestinians, who were launching incendiary balloons from northern Gaza towards Israel.
