RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- The Israeli military court of Ofer ordered the release of four Palestinian journalists on Thursday evening, lawyer of the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said.

PPS lawyer Abed al-Nasser Nubani said that the court decided to keep a fifth journalist in detention.

Nubani said journalists Muhammad Sami Ulwan, Qutaiba Hamdan, Ibrahim Rantisi and Husni Injas were released after paying a 5,000 shekels ($1375) bail each.

The four journalists were detained by Israeli forces from the central West bank district of Ramallah late July.

Meanwhile, a fifth journalist, Alaa Rimawi, was kept in detention until the next court regarding his case session again next Wednesday.

The Ofer court had ordered the release of the journalist on Wednesday under the same conditions. However, the Israeli public prosecution had requested an extension for it to be able to appeal against the ruling.
