Israeli forces detain 28 Palestinians, including 2 women

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces launched a raid campaign in which 28 Palestinians, including two women, were detained across the occupied West Bank on predawn Tuesday.

According to the Palestinian Prisoner's Society, Israeli forces detained eight Palestinians in the southern West Bank district of Hebron; the detainees were identified as Sonia al-Hamouri, Saida Badr, Muhammad Adi, Ghazi Adi, Dia Adi, Majd Adi, Imad Abu Tarq, and Yacoub Abu Tarq.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, three Palestinians were detained and identified as Ibrahim Khalid Hamamra, Ramez Youssef al-Lahham, and Diaa Khalil al-Jaafari.

In the central West Bank district of Jericho, Israeli forces detained four Palestinians; PPS identified them as two brothers, Safaa and Ahmad Youssef Abu al-Asal, Youssef Suleiman Muhammad Karshan and Daoud Khalil Abu Dahouk.

In the central West Bank district of Ramallah, eight Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces; they were identified as Mahmoud al-Ashwa, Mazen Radwan Hajjaj, Arafat Nasser, Adnan al-Barghouthi, Ammar Yalu Abu Saleh and Saleh Attiyeh along with his son Mahmoud.

In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, four Palestinians were detained; PPS identified them as Baraa Nael Dweikat, Hussam Imad al-Amudi, Muin Tabnaja and Salam Anan Bashkar.

In the northern district of Jenin, one Palestinian was detained and identified as Muhammad Balal Abu Bakr.

In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, another Palestinians was detained by Israeli forces. PPS identified him as Sahib Khader Mahmmud al-Hasri.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,820 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons, of whom 63 are female prisoners.
