JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- The Israeli authorities released a Palestinian teen from Jerusalem City, in the central West Bank, after he finished his 6-month prison sentence, late Wednesday.

A Ma'an reporter said that Israel released Bilal Khalil Muhammad Ghatit, 16, from the Sheikh Jarrah, who was detained on April 5, 2017.

Bilal was transferred to house arrest on May 17, 2017 under which he had spent an entire year before being re-detained by Israeli forces on June 24, 2018 and then released on Wednesday night from the Meggido jail.
