Israeli forces detain 11 Palestinians across the West Bank

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 11 Palestinians, including a former prisoner, during predawn Monday raids across the occupied West Bank.

A statement by the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians from the southern West bank district of Hebron. they were identified as Amin Shafiq al-Qawasmeh and Abed Shihadeh Abu Tareq.

In the central West bank district of Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained six Palestinians; PPS identified them as Luay Musbah Tabanja, Mujahed Muhammad Shamasneh, Adi Adnan Ghaith, Muhammad Tawfiq Ghaith, Majdi Abasan and Alaa Abu Taya.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, one Palestinian was detained and identified as former prisoner, Khalid Abu Zaina, 58.

In the northern West Bank district of Tulkarem, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian; he was identified as Ahmad Marwan Shihab, 22.

In the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya, another Palestinian was detained and identified by PPS as Muath Muhsen Shreim, 22.

According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,820 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
