Israeli forces severely injure Palestinian near Bethlehem

Sept. 14, 2018 12:48 P.M. (Updated: Sept. 14, 2018 12:58 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces assaulted and injured a 23-year-old Palestinian, on Thursday night, in the Artas village in the southern occupied West Bank district of Bethlehem.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that it received a report of a severely injured Palestinian man, east of Bethlehem, confirming that he had sustained his injuries due to an assault by Israeli soldiers.

PRCS added that medics were immediately sent to the area and provided the injured Palestinian with first aid, before transferring him to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.

However, his identity and condition were not immediately known.

PRCS mentioned that the injured Palestinian described the assault, saying "I was heading to a friend’s wedding in the area, when Israeli forces stopped me and began to repeatedly beat me."
