Israeli forces injure Palestinian during West Bank clashes

Sept. 18, 2018 1:08 P.M. (Updated: Sept. 18, 2018 1:08 P.M.)
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Clashes erupted between Israeli forces and Palestinian youths after Israeli forces raided several areas in the southern occupied West Bank district of Bethlehem, on predawn Tuesday.

Locals said that Israeli forces stormed the Palestinian village of Artas, southeast of Bethlehem, causing clashes to break out between Israeli forces and Palestinian youths.

In the Beit Jala City in western Bethlehem, Israeli forces closed the DCO Israeli military checkpoint under the pretext that a locally-made bomb was thrown towards the checkpoint, forcing residents to find a different route to enter or exit the city.

No injuries were reported.

Meanwhile in the central West Bank district of Ramallah and al-Bireh, sources confirmed that clashes broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinians after Israeli forces raided the Qalandiya refugee camp.

One Palestinian was injured; his identity and condition were not immediately known.
