Israeli forces detain 2 Palestinians near Gaza border

Sept. 20, 2018 11:38 A.M. (Updated: Sept. 20, 2018 12:44 P.M.)
JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained two Palestinians, on Wednesday evening, from the eastern borders of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Hebrew-language news outlets reported that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians after they allegedly crossed through the Israeli security border fence.

Sources added that the two detainees were taken in for further interrogation.

Israeli forces regularly detain Palestinians attempting to cross into Israel from the besieged Gaza Strip, which has suffered under a decade-long military blockade by Israel and Egypt.

Meanwhile in eastern Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, Israeli forces opened fire at dozens of Palestinians who gathered near the Israeli military post of Kissufim.

At least 13 Palestinians suffered injuries and tear-gas inhalation; five of whom were injured with live ammunition.

Dozens of Palestinians reportedly crossed the security border fence with Israel and then returned back to Gaza.
