Abbas arrives to New York for UN General Assembly

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in New York, on Monday, to attend the 73rd meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.

Abbas is scheduled to deliver a speech before the UN General Assembly on Thursday.

The President will also meet with several world leaders and heads of delegations who are attending the meeting.

Secretary General of the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee Saeb Erekat, Deputy Prime Minister Ziad Abu Amr, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Riyad Malki and the President's diplomatic adviser, Majdi al-Khalidi, will be accompanying Abbas.

Additionally, there was no confirmation reports of a scheduled meeting between Abbas and Trump while in New York.
